ODB's FBI File released →
Uncovered following a Freedom of Information Act request (and, of course, heavily redacted), the 93-page file contains gems galore, such as…
“The detectives have documented, in their case files, that the WTC [Wu-Tang Clan] is heavily involved in the sale of drugs, illegal guns, weapons possession, murder, car jackings, and other types of violent crimes…”
“Once individuals have proved themselves...

Alumni Top 10 (+ Bonus) with JJ O'Brien
Well hello there guys! I am back, for a post, with my Top 10 albums of the year. While I do miss the GSB, living in SF has allowed me to go to even more shows than I went to at the GSB and continue the efforts in spreading lots of musical magic. 2011 was a great year with some amazing releases and below captures my top 10 overall albums. Picking top albums can often be tough, but I went with...

Henry's Best of 2011
Our resident Brit gets in on the Top 10 action - click read more to catch the full recap:
10. Yuksek – Living on the Edge of Time Like Justice, this is another post-Ed Banger electro album, although it took things in a very different direction. Rather than trying to mature into subtle musical nods and winks, Yuksek seemingly matured into his Katy Perry collection. This is a straight up...

Fritz's Best of 2011
Well, kind of. There were a ton of great albums this year - definitely more than what will fit in a standard “Top 10.” The fact that I’m not including Bon Iver’s latest, MMJ’s epic, or King of Limbs may be considered a capital offence, but I’m not too bothered. charlie's top 10 albums of 2011
hey folks — charlie here. as the year winds down, some of the staff here at GSBeats would like to share our favorite albums of 2011 with you, with hopes that if you missed anything, you can catch it here and find it before 2011 is over. as GSBeats resident hip-hop aficionado, my list skews that way, but that’s not to say I didn’t hear a lot of other great stuff this year —...

Original Don Don Don
Major Lazer feat. The Partysquad - Original Don
New Major Lazer…it’s insane. No pop appeal whatsoever, kind of sounds like hardstyle dutch gabber techno from the 90s. But the break at the 2 minute mark will have club kids going bonkers, that’s for sure.
